ATHLETE MINI PLEAT Filters are separator-less low pressure drop HEPA/ULPA filters. These are HEPA filters that are designed and suited for applications where there is a need for very high-level filtration with least possible pressure drop and maximum surface area of filtration.
Construction: Mini Pleat HEPA Filter elements are constructed using imported glass fiber media of class better than H13. This media is mini pleated on an automated machine that can achieve pleat depth size of as low as 20 mm. Number of pleats per inch can also be increased to manufacture high flow or high cfm filters. Pleats are joined together using hot melt adhesive to form a pack which is separator-less as compared to the conventional deep-pleated HEPA filters which have corrugated metal separators in between the pleats. The filter media or element is supported with expanded metal (powder coated) from both sides as reinforcement and housed inside a metal frame (Custom build sizes are also available on order). Filter element is bonded to the metal frame using polyurethane based adhesive (HEPA Grade) and all joints and leaks are also sealed using the same adhesive. Silicone gasket is applied on both ends of the filter frame.
Advantage: High filtration efficiency can be achieved in ATHLETE Mini Pleat Filters with minimal pressure and high flow. These filters are easy to handle and very economical as compared to their conventional deep-pleated metal separator-type counter-parts.
